QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Must have no convictions of a felony or past criminal history, be in good health as evidenced by completion of a physical examination as prescribed by the Board. Must be of good character and moral behavior, must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.

Work with all facets of the Barren County / Glasgow community
Manage people and records
Evaluate the success of programs and act accordingly
Supervise students.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Will be required to complete all required training and attend in-service sessions as specified in the grant or as communicated from KDE
Performs assigned tasks in a timely manner
Consistently displays self-control with parents, students and school personnel
Maintains a clean workstation (bus, desk, office, etc.) and does maintenance as needed
Be clean, neat and appropriately dressed
Be consistently responsible and display an attitude of honesty and credibility
Show enthusiasm, interest and concern for the total program and its efficient operation
Maintains student control
Operate equipment in a safe manner at all times
Demonstrate positive behavior toward the purposes and goals of the Barren County Public Schools
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Familiarity with quality criteria for after-school programs
Experience work with low-income, underserved school youth
Availability to work occasionally on evenings or weekends for field trips and special events
Ability to be at the assigned school site on Mondays-Friday from approximately 2:00-6:00 pm or 1:00pm to 5:00 pm (hours may be flexible)
Travel occasionally to off-site meetings, training, and events
Provide day-to-day oversight of programs and after-school staff (i.e. Program Leaders) Ensure that Program Leaders are developing high-quality programming by collecting and reviewing lesson plans for content and effective planning.
Monitor student behavior on-site during program hours and utilize appropriate disciplinary measures as necessary
21st CCLC coordination with the Data Coordinator, implement Assessment at the designated school site–observations occur twice a year (in the Fall and Spring)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Pay commensurate with the position of 21st CCLC Afterschool Coordinator with a contracted time of 8 hours for 220 days in the contracted year
Salary commensurate with the classified salary schedule.
Sick / personal leave and holidays provided as stated in board policy
The employee is an “at will” employee and the superintendent may terminate this employment at any time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position may involve lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, standing, walking, talking, etc. Must be able to demonstrate and describe activities to youth. This position will work indoors and outdoors.
