Overview

We are looking for an experienced Childcare Teacher for our childcare facility. As a Childcare Lead Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to diligently care for young children. You will also plan and conduct daily activities for the children and ensure that the planned activities meet their physical and developmental needs. 

You should be able to supervise the children perfectly well. In addition to this, you must be able to supervise the other staff helping in the classroom effectively. Compassion and patience are a must for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class, whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas.
  • Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children's development and progress as directed by the administration.
  • Maintain records folder for each student
  • Complete weekly lesson plans, goals, and newsletters
  • Accept and maintain responsibility daily for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom
  • Create safe and appropriate diapering, toileting, and handwashing areas and help children with all personal hygiene skills
  • Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of the young children
  • Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech, and actions daily
  • Treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background
  • Encourage student's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem-solving, and taking responsibility for their actions
  • Interact with each child daily through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.
  • Nurture positive relationships with parents and establish continual communication.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
  • Quality afterschool enrichment activities.
  • Students have a structured and safe environment that stresses responsible behavior, respect for others, and positive attitudes at all sites.
  • Lead and oversee the implementation of procedures to train, support, and monitor ProCare

 

Responsibilities

  • Research, collect, and compile the appropriate teaching material for the children.
  • Planned and designed extra-curricular, creative activities for children accordingly.
  • Maintain a safe and clean class environment.
  • Provide primary care facilities to the children.
  • Monitor the children’s performances and ensure they improve their learning capacity.
  • Encourage children to communicate with one another. 
  • Identify behavioral issues with the children and take action to resolve them.
  • Coordinate with the parents and update them about their child’s performance regularly. Answer their questions calmly.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with other staff to improve the environment and learning process for children.
  • Observe the children’s health conditions and report if they need immediate attention.
  • Ensure that the teaching methodologies comply with educational standards and regulations.
  • Completed daily CACFC report.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or CDA.
  • High School Diploma GED Certification is mandatory for this role.
  • Two years of experience working as a Child Care Teacher / Daycare Teacher in a Childcare Facility, preschool, or similar role in an Educational Institute.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to speak to young children.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Familiar with child development processes and techniques.
  • Exhibit patience and care for all students and staff.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of first-aid is mandatory.
  • Proven experience as a Child Care / Daycare Teacher
  • Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
  • Methodical and creative
  • Patience, flexibility, and love for children
  • Certificate in first aid and CPR

Skills:
Requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a willingness and ability to travel between BBB locations. Computer skills and experience in Google Suite. Strong project management and administrative and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and enjoy working in a diverse environment.

           

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Physical and Mental Requirements:

High energy, motivation, confidence, and creativity; excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reports; ability to work for prolonged periods at high levels of activity, standing up and bending over; managing multiple tasks with varying deadlines; ability to exchange clearly and concisely, ideas and facts, both verbal and written.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

This position may involve lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, and grasping.  Must be able to demonstrate and describe activities to youth. This position will work indoors and outdoors.
