SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Through the Family Resource / Youth Service Center to identify and coordinate the provision of school and community services to meet the needs of children and families in order to reduce or eliminate barriers to learning and to promote success in school.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Must have no convictions of a felony or past criminal history, be in good health as evidenced by completion of a physical examination as prescribed by the Board. Must be of good character and moral behavior, must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or three years professional experience in a related area; high school diploma or GED .

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, organize, implement and coordinate the Family Resource / Youth Service Center program.
Develop, establish and administer Family Resource / Youth Service Center program.
Serve as a liaison with other units departments or outside agencies as required.
Maintain communication and work closely with district staff, local school staff and the community regarding information, developments and implementation of the program.
Prepare and assist in preparation of the Family Resource / Youth Service Center report, records and other documentation as required.
Assure compliance with Federal, State and District policy, administrative procedures and negotiated agreements as applicable.
Promote the establishment of positive working relationships with children, parents, school staff and community agency personnel.
Evaluate and monitor program components including goals, objectives, tasks and timelines.
Serve as a liaison between home, school and public and private resources; continually striving to maintain positive communication.
Make home visits as necessary to promote the goals of the Family Resource / Youth Service Center program.
Assists other school and district personnel in seeking additional funding for the Family Resource / Youth Service Center program.
Coordinates the involvement of volunteers and the provision of services at school site.
Helps promote the development of additional or supplemental community resources.
Assists in the dissemination of information in regard to the Family Resource / Youth Service Center program.
Promotes and facilitates the delivery of direct services.
Keeps a system for the Family Resource / Youth Service Center record keeping and maintains records consistent with confidentiality statutes.
Works collaboratively with the Center’s Advisory Council and Local Kentucky Delivery Integrated System Council.
Helps develop and maintain facilities that encourage utilization of the Center’s services.
Performs additional duties assigned by the Superintendent, his/her designee, principal or Advisory Council.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Will be required to complete all required training and attend in-service sessions.

Maintains a clean work station (bus, desk, office, etc.)and does maintenance as needed.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work year is comprised of 12 months of employment (240) days, 37.5 hours per week, with paid holidays and vacations as designated by current school calendar and board policy.
Sick leave and emergency leave as stated in board policy.
The employee is an “at will” employee and the Superintendent may terminate this employment at any time. |
